Consolidation characteristics of high-water-content slurries improved by flocculation-enhanced surcharge (vacuum) preloading method

چکیده

The high volume and unfavorable properties of high-water-content slurries make their treatment difficult costly. Improving the through prefabricated drains combined with surcharge or vacuum preloading represents an environmental economic means reusing these as subsoil. As conventional methods are inefficient in dealing low-permeability slurries, flocculation is often applied. In this study, influence flocculant dosage on drainage behavior observed, secondary consolidation examined laboratory tests. Flocculation found to accelerate process, although has optimal value when method. coefficient more significant improved by flocculation-enhanced (vacuum) method than case without flocculation. use must be carefully controlled.
